Physical treatment of Oilfield Contaminated Soil

Environmental pollution of oil field is mainly caused in the process of exploration, exploitation, transportation and storage of oil and gas resources, such as improper disposal of drilling mud, leakage and explosion of oil and gas transmission pipeline and storage tank, etc. Oil fields around the large area usually severely contaminated soil, the main pollution source is drilling mud, which contains pollutants, such as oil, heavy metals, organic reagents, chloride ion and other pollutants into the soil untreated, can cause great harm to the oil field soil, mainly reflected in the following aspects: the influence of soil structure, reduce the permeability of soil, make the contaminated land appears as brown cracked harden and reduce soil quality; Endanger the normal growth of plants, hinder the respiration and absorption of plant roots, cause root rot, and affect the growth of crop roots; Harmful heavy metal ions, organic compounds and high polymers, which are not easy to be passively explained by plants, enter the food chain and accumulate in the environment or animals and plants, endangering human health and life safety; Pollutants go deep into the groundwater and pollute the water sources below.

Remediation technologies of oil field contaminated soil mainly include physical remediation technology, chemical remediation technology, bioremediation technology and joint remediation technology. BZ Oilfield Soil Remediation System designed and produced by BZ Solid Control is accomplished through physical remediation technology. BZ oilfield soil remediation system mainly includes BZ shale shaker, BZ chemical dosing equipment, BZ decanter centrifuge and BZ 3-phase centrifuge.

The contaminated soil of oil field is demulsified, diluted and heated by BZ chemical dosing equipment, after will fall to 20% solids content into the BZ shale shaker for screening, larger solids particles can be directly discharge, the remaining material again by BZ chemical dosing equipment for flocculation treatment, material into the BZ decanter centrifuge after flocculation for solids and liquid separation, solids particles directly discharge recycling, remaining material is through BZ 3-phase centrifuge to separation solids, oil and water. Processed by BZ oilfield soil remediation system can realize the soil’s oil, water and solids separation, the solids particles can be directly to backfill; the water and solids content of the recovered oil can be reduced to 3%, to the refinery to refine and recovery; the oil content in the water can be < 1000 PPM, can be used for washing and dilution BZ oilfield soil remediation system.
